The information here is provided as a service for health care providers to provide relevant pharmacological and clinical information about CVT-E002™ the active ingredient of COLD-FX^®. It is considered important for health care professionals to have access to full information regarding natural health products which their patients may be taking.

Each capsule of COLD-FX has been certified by ChemBioPrint^® to contain 200 mg of CVT-E002 and 300 mg of CVT-E002 in COLD-FX Extra, a unique proprietary aqueous extract containing greater than 80% poly-furanosyl-pyranosyl-saccharides from Panax quinquefolius (North American ginseng, root).

• COLD-FX is officially indicated in Canada to help reduce the frequency, severity and duration of cold and flu symptoms by strengthening the immune system. It has a product license and a product number (NPN 80002849 for 200mg and NPN for 80015586 for COLD-FX Extra).
• COLD-FX has an established efficacy and safety profile when used to help reduce the frequency, severity and duration of cold and flu symptoms by boosting the immune system.
• COLD-FX efficacy and safety profiles are supported by scientific evidence including randomized, controlled trials.
• Individuals requiring anti-coagulant therapy such as warfarin should avoid us of COLD-FX. Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding. Not recommended for individuals with impaired liver or renal functions. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
• COLD-FX is a unique formulation with patents issued and pending worldwide. Its composition, as well as pharmacology and clinical effects are distinct, and differ significantly from those of crude ginseng products.

• COLD-FX is a standardized ChemBioPrint product. ChemBioPrint signifies that a proprietary process has been used to identify, through both biological and chemical testing, the active components of CVT-E002 which provide the health benefits. The health benefits identified include CVT-E002’s ability to targeting the immune system by activating viral-fighting Natural Killer cells and macrophages. The proprietary process behind ChemBioPrint also ensures that COLD-FX is consistently made from batch to batch.
