Spring cleaning – from the inside out

Spring has officially sprung! As the weather gets warmer and the flowers start to bloom, many Canadians begin their annual spring cleaning. This spring, detox from the inside out to help your immune system stay strong.

Bacteria can be good

We often think of bacteria as the cause of sickness, but our bodies are filled with bacteria – both good and bad. Probiotics are the “good” bacteria, and can support a healthy immune system by keeping your gut healthy. You can get your probiotics in foods like yogurt, sauerkraut, kimchi, and pickles.

Drink Plenty of water

We know you’ve heard this before, but staying hydrated is just that important! The benefits to drinking enough water throughout your day are countless. Water helps energize your muscles, keeps your skin looking fresh and helps your kidneys do their job of cleansing your body of toxins. What’s your water count today?

Embrace what’s in season

Mango, corn, broccoli, peas, strawberries, pineapples are all delicious and in season this spring! Eating a variety of fruits and vegetables can lower blood pressure, reduce risk of heart disease and stroke, lower risk of digestive problems, and much more.
